London Street Photography

The Museum of London is putting on a London Street Photography exhibit. They describe it as: From sepia-toned scenes of horse-drawn cabs to 21st century Londoners digitally ‘caught on film’,” And encourage us to explore how street photography has evolved from 1860 to the present day.

The exhibit will run from 18 February – 4 September 2011 at the museum of London

On the 18. Feb there will be a spechial late opening (18:30 – 21:00) of th exhibition and the Galleries of Modern London. There will be a bar and you can see how photography has captured the energy and the dynamism of the city through the ages and how contemporary street photography in London has been affected by attitudes towards public picture-taking and anti-terror laws. Photographers whose work will be on display include John Thomson, Laslo Moholy-Nagy and Roger Mayne.
